Bob Kuhn — President
Bob started his automotive career in 1975 working at a local gas station while learning about the mechanical and the management side of the business. He successfully managed a number of retail outlets for nationally known retailers. During his career he often held positions within the organization which expanded his knowledge of our industry. He opened Skyline Automotive in April of 2001 and has watched his Company grow from employing five employees to the current staff of fourteen. He credits his business’s success to the strengths and quality of his staff and to the values in which they operate his business. Bob spends his “down time” with family and friends, playing golf, skiing, and traveling abroad.

Victor Peren — Store Manager
Victor brings over 30 years of customer service and retail management experience. He started his automotive career in 1993 working for several large retailers in Virginia and also in Flagstaff, Arizona for a couple of years while enjoying plenty of sunshine, fresh air, camping, fishing and hiking. Victor and his family returned to the Northern Virginia area and worked for one of our competitors before finding his “home” here at Skyline Automotive in June of 2006. On his days off, Victor enjoys spending time with his family and two dogs particularly doing outdoor activities.

Pat Hanson — Service Director
Pat started working on cars before he could drive one. During his high school years, British sports cars and Fiats were his specialty. After earning a bachelor’s degree in business and computer programming he decided that wearing a tie was not for him. Pat managed a tire and auto center for one of our competitors for 15 years before joining Skyline Automotive in November of 2001. Pat is also ASE certified in seven areas and attends current training seminars to improve his automotive expertise. After hours activities include a little golfing, some skiing, never ending home improvement, Scouting with his two boys, and playing guitar.

Sydney Moore — Retail Sales
Sydney started his automotive career right out of high school as a technician. His outgoing personality and customer service skills afforded him the opportunity to get into the management side of the business where he thrived for many years for several of our competitors. This is Sydney’s third “tour of duty” at Skyline Automotive and we all hope that he stays with us for the long haul this time around. Sydney feels at home as he gets to work everyday with some of the best customers and colleagues our business has to offer. His biggest passion is to serve and satisfy every customer like family. Sydney spends his time off with his wife and three boys, he loves to travel, go “clubbing”, hang out and even Ski on occasion.

Melissa Reasons — Office Assistant
Melissa has been helping her Dad (Bob) with various projects and job assignments since he opened his business in 2001. She currently helps with the book keeping and providing reports that our accountant requires producing up to date financial records for the business. She also keeps busy in assisting us in keeping Skyline Automotive appearance clean, updated and uncluttered. This past year she developed and implemented a “make over” for our customer lounge and bathroom area’s which were well received by our customers. Melissa is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant during the week and Mom to her two sons that keep her busy.

Justin Karlinchak — Shop Foreman
Justin began his accomplished career in 1975. He worked at several new car dealerships before opening and operating his own business for several years. He also worked at one of our competitors and at a dealership before joining our team in 2003. Justin is an Advance Level Technician and a Master technician in several areas of repair including Auto, Truck, Bus, Body and Machinist. He is a licensed Virginia State and Emission inspector and repair technician. Justin keeps quite busy with his family and friends while pursuing many interests and hobbies including music, sports, cooking and coaching his daughters sport teams.

Jim Stone — ASE Technician
Jim began “playing around” with cars even before going to high school where he took automotive shop classes. Jim worked for several local competitors of ours before coming to work at Skyline Automotive in 2006. Jim is an Advance Level Technician and a Master technician in several areas of repair. He is a licensed Virginia State and Emission inspector and repair technician. Jim and his wife have raised five children, two of which have followed in their father’s footsteps and are also technicians. In his spare time Jim likes to hit the beach, play softball, and spend time with family and friends.

Dave Harris — ASE Technician
Dave comes to Skyline Automotive with over 25 years of automotive mechanical experience. Dave worked for several local competitors of ours before and in between his three “tours of duty”. Dave takes great pride in his work and treats every car like it is his own. Dave specializes in all areas of repair but is very proficient diagnosing hard to find problems. Dave enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. He also enjoys woodworking when he has the time.

Patrick Banks — ASE Technician
Pat comes to Skyline Automotive with 7 plus years of automotive mechanical experience. Pat worked for one of our competitors in the area after graduating from high school. He is ASE certified in five areas of repair and is currently taking his Emission Inspector class in hopes of becoming a Licensed Emission Inspector. Pat has aspirations to become an ASE Master Technician. Pat lives a pretty active life hanging out with friends, skate boarding, hitting all the music venues in town for various concerts.

James Knight — Technician
James brings over 18 years of automotive mechanical and sales experience to Skyline Automotive. James worked for a Tire and Auto competitor of ours and also worked for a Nissan dealership for two years before coming home to Skyline Automotive. James has been a welcomed addition to our team and we expect his career to thrive while obtaining his ASE certifications and Virginia State & Emission Inspector Licenses. When not at work James enjoys spending quality time with his family, going to the gym, playing with his dog, and his favorite past time of just sleeping in!

Bruce Rogers — General Service Technician
Bruce got into this business back in 1974. He worked at several gas stations as an attendant and shift manager. I hired him back in 1997 and he has been part of my team ever since providing our customers with great service. Bruce helps out training the new bucks and helping us run the shuttles along with his other job responsibilities. When Bruce isn’t working he spends his time with family, watching movies, taking care of the house and visiting his mom.

Viet Tran — General Service Technician
Viet is currently going to NVCC working on his Bachelors Degree in Business and a Minor in Automotive. He works part time for us and studies hard at school.

Stephen Kuhn — General Service Technician
Stephen is currently going to the University of Delaware and is working on his Bachelors Degree in Political Science and a Minor Degree in Criminal Justice. He has worked here at Skyline Automotive during this past summer and during his breaks from college. When not studying or working hard Stephen does his best keeping up with friends and family, playing video games, hanging out, hitting either the beach or slopes or just having fun.
