Arlington County, VA is a county in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is more commonly referred to as Arlington as it operates as its own city without being incorporated as such. The population of Arlington County is approximately 230,000 residents who live, work, and play close to home.
Across the Potomac River, east of Arlington County lies Washington, DC, the nation’s capital city. Southwest of Arlington County is Falls Church and southeast is Alexandria. Arlington County has been known in the past several years as one of the most educated counties with over 35 percent of the population holding graduate degrees.
